What is the Gospel?

The Gospel is the preached Word to the whole world
that God is superabundantly rich in
His grace and  goodness.
God forgives sins!

Fifth Sunday of Easter

Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. Psalm 146:1-2

Greetings in the name of Jesus!

We sing God’s praises because through His Son He gave slaves to sin like us freedom, a new life and an identity: God’s own people. We sing God’s praises not because He needs to be motivated to act in our favour but because He remembers us. Even when we forsake Him, He comes to seek and save the lost. We sing God’s praises to remind ourselves that we should be wary of the far-fetched promises made by princes and the sons of man, by politicians, social scientists and many false preachers in whom there is no salvation. We sing never to forget that the day such men die their plans perish with them. Still, the ways of such men have a tendency of coming back into fashion with each passing generation. So, God’s people need to be exhorted and blessed; repeatedly called away from following the multitude of bad, deceptive, misleading ways available out there to follow the blessed way of truth and life.

Join us again for the Divine Service at Resurrection this Sunday from 11am. Please find the bulletin attached with the service details and more information.

I look forward to seeing you.
